EHL General Manager / Head Coach
CT Nor’Easter Junior Hockey is excited to announce Nielsson Arcibal will return as General Manager and Head Coach. He will also serve as Vice President of Hockey Operations at the International Skating Center of Connecticut (ISCC).
Arcibal joins the CT Nor’Easter from the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack, where he was recently named Video Coach for the 2024–25 season. Prior to that, he spent two seasons on staff at American International College (AIC)—his alma mater—serving as Director of Hockey Operations and later as Assistant Coach.
A native of San Diego, CA, Arcibal played junior hockey in the NAHL and USHL, winning a league title with the Texas Tornado in 2006. At AIC, he was a four-year impact player, team captain, and graduated as the program’s all-time Division I assists leader, still ranking in the top 10 in career points.
His professional playing career included stops in Sweden, the ECHL, and SPHL, and he won gold medals with Team USA at the IIHF Inline Hockey World Championships in 2013 and 2017.
Arcibal’s coaching experience also includes the Springfield Pics (USPHL) and he is the founder and head trainer at ARC Hockey Training, where he focuses on elite hockey development. His well-rounded background and leadership experience make him a strong fit to lead the Nor’Easter into its next chapter.
EHLP Head Coach & EHL Assistant Coach
The CT Nor’Easter is proud to announce Michael Cichy as Head Coach of the CT Nor’Easter Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) team.
Cichy has been appointed the EHLP Head Coach after serving as the Nor’Easter EHL Assistant Coach for the 2025-206 season. He brings elite-level playing experience and international success to the Nor’Easter EHLP program. A former standout forward, he was selected to the USA Hockey National Team Development Program before being drafted by the Halifax Mooseheads (QMJHL) and Tri-City Storm (USHL).
Cichy starred with the Indiana Ice, winning a Clark Cup Championship while leading the league in goals. He also represented Team USA at the World Junior A Challenge, earning tournament MVP and leading scorer honors while capturing a gold medal.
He was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2009 NHL Draft and went on to play NCAA Division I hockey at the University of North Dakota and Western Michigan University.
Professionally, Cichy built a decorated career in Europe, becoming a three-time champion and the all-time points leader in Polish hockey history with GKS Tychy. He also represented the Polish National Team in international competition, including Olympic qualifying events. He concluded his playing career with the Fife Flyers before retiring in 2026.
Cichy will continue as the Nor’Easter EHL Assistant Coach while bringing his experience, leadership, and passion for development behind the bench as Head Coach of the Nor’Easter EHLP.
Adam Westhaver, Owner & Governor, CT Jr. Nor’Easter EHL and EHLP stated “Michael brings a rare combination of elite playing experience, professionalism, and a true understanding of player development. His path through junior, college, and the professional ranks, both in North America and internationally, makes him an incredible resource for our players. We’re excited to have him leading our EHLP program.”
Nielsson Arcibal, CT Jr Nor’Easter General Manager and EHL Head Coach added “Michael is exactly the type of leader we want guiding our players. He’s lived every level of the game and understands what it takes to advance. His experience and passion for development will have an immediate impact on our program.”
